Note from Mike:
AHA stuff:
There are currently over 140 sites from around the world registered with AHA. Our "site" is registered with the AHA as Muskrat Mashers 2nd Anuual site# ( I haven't registered yet, they want an email for contact - should I use the Muskrat Masher's or mine?)
We'll keep a record of how many gallons are brewed, and update the website when we're finished.
There are 3 suggested recipes from the AHA: East India Pale Ale, Wit, and Porter. In the past, we have brewed their suggestions about 1/2 the time. We may brew the Wit. We have a large bag of Coriander that we won't fully use.
Here is a link to the recipes:

Our back patio or inside the garage if it's raining. Come on around back. Park in the driveway, or over in the park. Leave the far (east) side of the driveway open - everyone can use that side to unload equipment.
Time:
We are planning to get the patio setup to start brewing around 8am. If people want to get here earlier, that is fine.
Do you think that is early enough? We expect the party could go on all day/evening. In past Big Brews, some people showed up as late as 2pm to start brewing.
Who/how many:
We'll need a basic count of how many people want to brew, and what kind of systems they have (how much space). Someone (Dan?) mentioned at the March meeting that they only brew on the stove. I would like to encourage them to bring their equipment, and someone can hook them up with a burner for an hour to brew. We'll try to have one of ours available. If anyone needs other equipment, we should be able to accomodate. I have both propane tanks almost full. One will be hooked up to the grill, but can be removed unless we need to do some grilling.
Food:
What food is everyone bringing? Kathy and I will have pulled pork/buns and coleslaw. I heard someone was bringing quiche or frittata. We will have a pot of coffee and donuts/Timbits.
Kegs/Beer:
We will have the ten tap bar. It has all ball-locks. But some can be switched over to pin-lock if needed. We will probably have two kegs tapped.
This will be fun! We're really looking forward to a great day.
