Brewing with Monroe Mist (City Water)

At the meeting Kevin, seemed to have a handle on this but I'd like to have some more definitive info on the most important ingredient we use.

What are our options for brewing different styles with our Zebra Mussel enriched liquid?

Chemistry Challenged brewers such as myself would like to know. ???

Thanks for getting the ball rolling, Rob.

I can probably help with the water chemistry side of things.  I am a chemical engineer (by degree anyway) and I adjust my water chemistry to suit style every time I brew.  It's not all that difficult once you get used to it.  If someone wants a presentation I could do that too.

We'll need a water analysis of Monroe city water supply.  They should be able to provide this free of charge.  (Toledo did.)  I will write them and ask.

Someone mentioned this idea to me, I thought it was pretty cool.   Something like an "Ask the experts"..

Everyone writes down a question on a card, and the meeting moderator reads off the questions, and whoever that may know about the specific topic the question is on, can volunteer to answer it,.. or others can pitch in and share their ideas.

Might be something we could try.  I would like to try to get the group more familiar with each other, so if one person knows more about yeast, everyone can go to them with their questions.   If another is an expert on water, they could field those questions.   I'm sure over time we'll all get to know who knows what in the group.
